Back to work
So: I’ve been back in the studio for 4 days now.
I hadn’t used my paint for 16 days.
And one thing I noticed first thing on Monday: sealed as I said to do it here, my paint just took me 5 minutes to get it fresh and mixed again. Just 5 minutes.
And then of course the phone rang.
And ‘of course’ I left my lump of paint uncovered while I went and answered it.
And you know what?
After 25 minutes of me on the phone, my paint was harder than I found it when I returned to paint on Monday.
Really dry and crumbly.
The heating’s on of course, and the kilns are firing, but it sure reminded me to keep paint covered as much as possible. Always.
