Quick guide
Here’s a quick guide to how to organise your palette when you are tracing.
Look at this
So:
- The main lump of paint is covered up –
even whenespecially when you’re using it. - There’s a ready reservoir of dark runny paint I can call on and use whenever I want.
- My working paint is the precise consistency and shade I need for whatever kind of tracing I am doing now – here: copy-tracing. (So, darker for strengthening or shaping.)
- All around the edges of the palette, a film of water and paint. This keeps the palette’s temperature low. As with the dark runny paint, I can call on this light watery paint whenever I need to.
Make sense?
Much more here for you of course.
