When you know how to do all this in just one firing, you’ll be a better glass painter than someone who paints then fires, then paints another layer and fires again, then paints another layer and – you guessed it: fires a third time.
The single-firing method will also save you considerable time and money, because you’ll be more confident about how to control the paint and brush to make them do exactly what you want them to.
All the same, please do not imagine that speed and faster ‘turn-around’ times are ends in themselves.
